Rūmaki Karakia are intensive 2-3 day residential noho providing an immersion experience for formation in Theology, Karakia, Mihinaretanga, and Ministry Practice.

Opening and closing kaupapa–hui, meetings, or other gatherings–will be some of the more common places we are called to lead karakia outside of tangihanga. In our second noho we will learn karakia elements that form the foundation of what we lead and offer in either opening or closing kaupapa – providing an essential repetoire of inoi, waiata, and hīmene as our foundation for leading karakia to open and close hui and various gatherings.

Rūmaki Karakia are aimed at Kaikarakia and those accepted into training to become Kaikarakia but are open on a case-by-case basis to all minita in Te Tairāwhiti.
