Rūmaki Karakia are intensive 2-3 day residential noho providing an immersion experience for formation in Theology, Karakia, Mihinaretanga, and Ministry Practice.
Karakia Tūroro respond to the special need of praying with those who are māuiui, asking Te Atua to help them feel better, give them strength, and bring them peace. In turn, Karakia Tangihanga will be some of the Tikanga Karakia minita will be called on to lead the most: comforting those who mourn, remembering the beloved dead, commending them to Te Atua, and thanking Te Atua for their life.
Rūmaki Karakia are aimed at Kaikarakia and those accepted into training to become Kaikarakia but are open on a case-by-case basis to all minita in Te Tairāwhiti.
